Christmastime

Christmastime is a wonderful holiday to celebrate with our families and friends. Let us all remember that Jesus Christ is the reason for the season.

I would like to share this quote with you:

God's Gift

"Christmas gifts? There were none at that time. The Wise Men came later with their offering."

"But God now gave His gift to the world-

that of His Only Begotten Son. And this divine Son by His very birth gave Himself as the greatest Gift of all time."

"He would provide the plan for our salvation. He would give His life that we might rise from the grave and have a happy life in the eternities, forever. Who could give more?"

"What a gift this was think what it means to us! We can learn patience, devotion, and faithfulness such a Mary had. And like her Son we can follow the true gospel principles, being in the world but not of the world."

(Mark E. Peterson, "His Gift to the World, "New Era, Dec 2002, 8)

Me and my family would like to wish you all a very "MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!"

Christmas recipes - Easy Toffee Squares

This recipe is so simple, easy and delicious. I like a fast, quick and easy treats. Our family love this treat!

24 graham cracker squares
1c light brown sugar
1/2c butter
1c chopped walnuts (almonds, etc)

Lightly grease cookie sheets and place graham crackers around the cookie sheets. In a small pot stir butter and sugar and heat 3 min until butter melted and the sugar dissolves and thickens. Pour the liquid over the graham crackers on the cookie sheets.

Bake 5-6 min until bubbly.

Remove from oven quickly as you don't want it to burn. Sprinkle with walnuts (Optional: add 2c chocolate chips on top of them and let them melt)

Cool

Christmas gifts - Hot Chocolate Mix

At Christmas time I like to make up this quick hot chocolate mix and put it into a small bag or plastic wrap, tie some ribbon on it and place it into a mug for a quick and easy Christmas gift. It's a nice tasty treat on a cold winter's night.
I hope you will enjoy this too!

Hot Chocolate Mix recipe

1/3 c dry powdered milk
1 tsp cocoa
1 tsp white sugar

Mix together in a bowl then put into a small lock bag. Tie some Christmas ribbon on it and place in a mug. (Optional - you can put some tiny marshmallows in the bag too)

This recipe makes 1 serving but you can double or triple the batch as it's east too.

Attach a little note to the bag: Add 1 c of hot water or mix in 1 c cold water and prepare in the microwave.
